Good preparation and careful aftercare help you get the most from skin-quality treatments such as microneedling mesotherapy and exosome therapy. The advice below is general; your therapist will always give you personal instructions.
Before your appointment
- tell us about medications, allergies, skin conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding
- avoid sunbathing and tanning in the days before treatment
- pause strong active ingredients, such as retinoids or acids, if your therapist recommends it
- arrive with clean skin, without make-up if possible
On the day
The treated skin may look pink and feel warm or tight for a while afterwards. This is a common, temporary reaction.
The first days after treatment
- keep the skin clean and use the products recommended by your therapist
- avoid make-up for the rest of the day
- avoid saunas, swimming pools, intense exercise and very hot showers for a short period
- do not scrub, peel or pick at the skin
- use broad-spectrum sunscreen daily and avoid direct sun
When to contact us
If you notice unusual swelling, pain or any reaction that worries you, please contact the clinic.
Planning a course
Both treatments are usually planned as a series. For exosome therapy we typically suggest a session every second week, three to four times, depending on your skin. Mesotherapy is also given as a course, with top-up sessions to maintain the results.
Frequently asked questions
How long does redness last?
Usually only a short time, but it varies from person to person. Your therapist will tell you what to expect.
When can I return to my usual skincare?
Gentle products can generally be used straight away; active ingredients should be reintroduced only as advised.
Can I combine exosome therapy and mesotherapy?
In some cases they can be part of the same plan. We decide this together at the consultation.
